I decided to get my MBA at UCLA Anderson while working full-time at Sony Pictures Entertainment in digital marketing in 2004. I would work all day and then go to school at night and on weekends, often exhausted but excited to learn. For me, getting my MBA was an opportunity to build leadership skills and learn the business principles that I did not learn with while getting my BA at Emory University where I focused on literature and art history. I was fortunate to get so much out of my time at Anderson; I learned the importance of working as a team, building empathy in the office, fine-tuning communication skills and looking ahead to set strategic goals for your business. And, perhaps most importantly, I was able to learn from incredible professors and peers who still remain some of my best friends and mentors today.

In 2017, I attended the Velocity Women’s Leadership Summit and had the opportunity to share the lessons learned from my life & career.
