Power Collective LA : “a love letter to the ambition of women…’’
Yesterday I was lucky to watch my friend Amy Elkins launch the Power Collective LA at an event in Los Angeles where she gathered an incredible group of female professionals to elevate, inspire and learn from each other. The event centered around storytelling, activism, tech and investment industries to build cross-community networks, create new opportunities and empower women to grow their networks.
The Power Collective was founded as a love letter to the ambition of women with a focus on three pillars of ideology: To create opportunity via Innovation, to generate intersectionality through networking and to inspire authenticity to create, thrive & lead. And, the event yesterday did just that… Talitha Watkins from Issa Rae’s Color Creative and Liz Jenkins from Hello Sunshine shared personal stories on their own career trajectories and shared how they are taking ownership of women narratives in media and leaning into their own authenticity as they steer their companies forward in an ever-changing media landscape.
